Humboldt, IA — A two car wreck was reported around 3pm on Friday in the Hy-Vee parking lot.
67 year old Martin Brown of Bradgate and 90 year old Doris Vanhorn of Humboldt were involved as Officer David Jones responded to the accident. Brown told the officer that he was planning to back out of his parking spot when a red car turned too sharp and hit the back of his white Dodge pickup truck.
When asked about her side of the story, Vanhorn responded saying that she was going around the parking lot when the truck backed out into her car. No citations were in the report and both individuals were uninjured. Martin’s rear passenger side incurred $300 worth of damage while Vanhorn’s Ford Taurus was dealt $2,000 in damage.
