Dakota City, IA — Matthew Rodenberg, 44, of Dakota City was involved in a two car wreck on Highway 169 at the intersection of 13th and 6th street north around five in the evening on Sunday.

Rodenberg’s pickup truck hit Judith Breeden, 74, of Dakota City’s 2000 Mazda van in the middle of the driver’s side of her vehicle when she pulled into the intersection going westbound. The report explained that visual of Breeden’s car was obstructed because another car was making a right turn from the eastbound side of 6th street. Both cars were totaled in the wreck and had to be towed from the scene. Rodenberg and Breeden were both taken to Humboldt Memorial Hospital with Rodenberg sustaining minor injuries but Breeden suspected in more serious condition.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelt. There were no passengers in either car.
