Des Moines, IA — For future Cyclones and Hawkeyes it’s another year of tuition being raised as the board over the state of Iowa’s public universities has approved a nearly 4% increase on undergraduate tuition.

The increase is officially 3.9% and is close to 1% higher than expected. Tuition increase for both schools will take effect this coming fall semester for all incoming students. However, for Northern Iowa university there will be no increase this fall.

Also, contract extensions for all 3 university presidents were approved. Both Iowa and Iowa State were extended to 2023 and Northern Iowa’s Mark Nook was agreed through 2025.
