Humboldt, IA — Allan Kirsch, 59, of Dakota City was driving his Roga sprayer at Hawaii Ave when he collided with a passing train Tuesday morning.

Kirsch was getting his farm equipment across the railway but did not look to see if one was coming before going through the yield sign as he was struck on the rear driver’s side. The sprayer was sent into the nearby ditch but Kirsch was not injured in the accident. His sprayer incurred an estimated $100,000 dollars in damage as it had to be towed from scene while the train itself had an estimated $10,000 worth of damage for hitting the farm equipment.

No citations were given in the wreck.
