Emmetsburg, IA — Make it 10 in a row for Humboldt softball as they downed 2A #10 Emmetsburg 6-1 on the road last night.
The Wildcats were actually outhit in the ballgame 4-3 but were able to muster 6 runs due to some aggressive base running and some costly mistakes by the E-Hawks. Mady Lange had the lone RBI for Humboldt as she finished the game 1-2 with a run scored and the RBI coming on a sac fly in the 5th. Lange now has a 5 game hitting streak. Humboldt scored 3 of their 6 runs in the 3rd with only 1 being earned as Carlie Thompson, Lange, and Claire Varangkounh all crossed home plate in the inning.
Ellie Jacobson pitched another complete game (7IP, 1ER, 1BB, 10Ks) for Humboldt as they get to 10-0 and will once again be in action tonight at Clarion Goldfield Dows with first pitch at 7:30.
