Humboldt, IA — Matthew Lenning, 29, of Humboldt was involved in an accident at the Casey’s General Store in Humboldt at around 1pm on Saturday.
Lenning was pulling into the Casey’s from Highway 3 when a car backed into his truck from the parking lot. The driver was Sherry Weers, 50, of Humboldt who then drove away from the scene after striking Lenning’s truck. Officer David Jones was on the scene and was able to track down Weers who stated that she drove away because she was scared and has bad anxiety. Weers was cited for failure to have proof of financial liability.
Both vehicles incurred minor damage and neither had a passenger with them.
