Humboldt, Iowa — A Humboldt Police Officer has resigned from his position following allegations of domestic abuse, city officials have learned.
Officer Brad Thiele has resigned after being on paid administrative leave since the 16th of March, when the allegations first surfaced.
The investigation is now being handled by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation.
No charges have been officially filed with the Humboldt County Attorney as of now.
Thiele was a veteran of seven years in the Humboldt Police force.
