Nashville, Tennessee — Two Iowa State Cyclone football players will be making their NFL debut this season.
Running back David Montgomery was selected by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft. Bears General Manager Ryan Pace says Montgomery is a “well-rounded player” that should fit in well with the Bears’ offensive line.
Former Cyclone Hakeem Butler was also drafted over the weekend. The wide receiver was the top pick in the fourth round of the NFL draft. He will be taking his talents to the Arizona Cardinals.
