Humboldt, Iowa — No injuries reported after a vehicle struck a deer on 270th Street in Humboldt.
Thomas Dean Schmoker, 84, of Fort Dodge was travelling westbound on 270th Street when a deer ran onto the road. Schmoker was unable to avoid the collision.
According to a police report from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office, the driver is not being charged with any improper action. While Schmoker himself is uninjured, there is approximately $5000 damage to his 2009 Cadillac, which had to be towed from the scene.
