Joe Faraoni / ESPN Images(BALTIMORE) — After 16 years with the Baltimore Ravens, Terrell Suggs is reportedly parting ways with the team and joining the Arizona Cardinals.
A source tells ESPN the 36-year-old outside linebacker is signing a one-year, $7 million contract with Arizona.
News of the deal comes after Suggs told members of the Ravens Monday that he was leaving, ESPN reports.
Suggs’ departure is yet another hit to Baltimore’s defense, the top-ranked in the NFL. Last week, safety Eric Weddle joined the Los Angeles Rams and middle linebacker C.J. Mosley is said to be gearing up to sign a deal with the New York Jets, according to ESPN.
Suggs has spent his entire NFL career with the Ravens. He was drafted by the team in 2003, and went on to become Baltimore’s all-time leader in sacks and forced fumbles. He also ranks second in franchise history for total tackles and fumble recoveries.
