Humboldt, Iowa — Freezing cold wind chills are once again expected to infiltrate the area, beginning tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS reports that tonight, after a band of freezing rain, sleet and snow, bitter cold wind chills will arrive late tonight into tomorrow morning.

Wind chill advisories and warnings will be implemented across much of central Iowa, the National Weather Service announced.

Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero are expected later this afternoon into Friday morning, which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
