Webster City, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat boys basketball team dropped to 8-9 and 6-6 in conference play following last night’s 53-38 loss to the Webster City Lynx.

A night after shooting the lights out, Humboldt went cold from the field locking up for just 12 first half points. Humboldt cut the lead from 20 to 18 entering the fourth quarter but just couldn’t get over the hump.

Tyler Olson led all scorers for the Lynx with 22 points.

The win for Webster City marked their fourth straight in the conference.

Humboldt has lost three of their last four.

The Cats will continue their road trip tomorrow night with a single-header at Algona. Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m.
