Boys Basketball: Humboldt Sees Carroll Game Cancelled Again

Humboldt, Iowa — Another batch of winter weather has impacted the Humboldt Wildcat boys’ basketball team as, for the second time in as many days, their scheduled game with Carroll will not go on as planned.

Humboldt now has just one game remaining of their regular season, a Thursday tilt with the Tornadoes of Storm Lake High.

The Wildcats will open up their post-season action next Monday on the road at Sergeant Bluff-Luton. The Warriors find themselves at the pinnacle — or near it — in every major ranking poll in 3A.

SB-L comes in with a 16-3 record, while the Wildcats have stumbled in five of their last six and hold an 8-11 record.

Make note of the special tip-time for next week’s game: 6:30 p.m.

Humboldt and SB-L will play the first of two games in Sergeant Bluff that evening.

You can hear all the action right here on the Bolt.

Unfortunately, there will be no radio for Thursday’s showdown with Storm Lake as we will be covering state wrestling.
