Humboldt City Council Approves Replacement of Hydrants

Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt City Council approved the replacement of several area water valves and fire hydrants at their meeting Monday afternoon.

The council awarded the contract and totaled the bid price, as well.

Denver Underground, of Denver, Iowa was awarded the contract. Denver Underground has worked on several projects with both the county and city over the last handful of years.

The project is totaled at $96,224.

The city will replace five valves and four hydrants, per the council.

It’s estimated that the replacements will begin in Summer 2019.
