Humboldt, Iowa — The Highway 3 Bridge east of Humboldt is now open, the city of Humboldt announced via social media yesterday.
The bridge has been closed since March of this year, and was expected to re-open by the end of October.
Of course, mother nature hardly every obliges, pushing the re-open date to December, essentially a three-week delay.
United Contractors of Johnston, Iowa was the contractor for the project, totaling just north of 2 million dollars.
