Eagle Grove, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat boys’ basketball team won their second straight and improved to 3-1 on the season after defeating Eagle Grove 80-15 last night in Eagle Grove.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first quarter and surged to a 51-12 half-time lead.
Eagle Grove was held to just three second half points, all of which came in the third quarter.
Owen Terwilliger had 14 points for Humboldt, while Calvin Carlson and Jamison Heinz each had 11.
The Wildcats will play in the second leg of a back-to-back tonight when they travel to Hampton to take on H-D.
Tip-off tonight is set for 7:45 p.m.
