Humboldt, Iowa — Security upgrades will be coming to the Humboldt County Courthouse.

Monday, the board signed a quote with Electronic Specialties of Algona, for north of $28,000 for camera upgrades as apart of their security overhaul.

Supervisor Erik Underberg made the motion for chairman Bruce Reimers to accept and sign the quote, which had been previously been budgeted for, according to county auditor Peggy Rice.

Rice told the board they’ll be putting in four new cameras.

The hope is that Electronic Specialties will have the cameras completely installed by June, which was agreed upon by the county and Electronic Specialties themselves.

The courthouse will also be upgrading their doors in the near future, as well.
