Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat basketball team dropped to 1-1 last night, following a 67-48 non-conference loss to Ogden.

The Bulldogs, now 3-1, jumped out a 21-8 lead at the end of one quarter and never looked back.

While they did win by 19, the Wildcats did hold Ogden well under their 93 points per game season average, but it just wasn’t enough.

Ogden was led by Ben Heeren, who poured in 22 points, including hitting three 3’s.

The 6’6′ senior is now averaging 29 points per game.

Humboldt’s stats were not made immediately available.

The Wildcats will take the next couple of days to reset, before hosting Algona in their North Central Conference opener, Friday night at home.

Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m.
