Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat boys’ basketball team will welcome in the highly entertaining Ogden Bulldogs (2-1) this evening for a non-conference boys only single-header at Humboldt High School.

The Bulldogs come in averaging a robust 93 points per game, most recently putting up 114, in a Friday win over West Central Valley.

Ben Heeren a 6’6″ senior is one of the state’s premier two-way threats.

Heeren is averaging 31.3 points per game, to go along with 14.6 board. He’s shooting 66% from the field and hasn’t missed from the 3-point line.

He’ll be worth the price of admission alone.

Humboldt will try to counter the Bulldog pace, with pace of their own.

Humboldt shot twenty-four 3’s in their opening night win over Manson-NW-Webster as head coach Jason Hoag is implementing some run and gun concepts in this era of pace and space basketball.

Jamison Heinz led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points, while Calvin Carlson chipped in with 8.

Due to Iowa State Cyclone basketball tonight, there will be no radio.

Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m.
