Wildcat Volleyball Advances to Region Semi-Final

Humboldt, Iowa — For the third time in as many seasons, the Humboldt Wildcat volleyball team (29-4) are heading to the Class 3A Region 3 semi-final, following a sweep victory over Greene County last night.

The Wildcats convincingly took game one 25-9, then cruised to 25-17 and 25-10 victories in games two and three.

Junior Mady Lange provided the offensive firepower compiling nine kills, with Jori Hajek chipping in with eight. Ashlyn and Kendal Clark each had seven.

Sophomore setter Deni McDaniel was tremendous again, recording a team-high sixteen assists.

Carlie Thompson and Ashlyn Clark each had six digs.

Next up for the Wildcats is Roland-Story (30-7) who is coming off a sweep of their own, defeating Southeast Valley in the quarters, last night.

Humboldt will host the Norse next Tuesday.

The winner will advance to the Region 3 final.

Match-time is set for 7:00 p.m.
