Spencer, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat boys and girls cross country teams will both be in action this evening as their athletes look to punch tickets to the State Cross Country meet in Fort Dodge.

Humboldt will be competing in the 3A District at Spencer.

The meet will be held at Spencer Country Club.

The talented field includes Algona, Ballard, Boyden-Hull-Rock Valley, Heelan, Clear Lake, LeMars, MOC Floyd Valley, Sergeant Bluff-Luton, Spencer, Spirit Lake, Storm Lake and Webster City.

Coming off dual North Central Conference titles, the boys and girls’ teams carry plenty of momentum into proceedings this afternoon.

Race time is set for 4:00 p.m., with JV leading things off.

We’ll try to have updates as the night goes on and will have full results on tomorrow morning’s Bolt sportscast.

The co-ed Iowa State High School Cross Country meet will be held October 27, 2018, at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge.
