VFW Loan Closet Approaches Next Week for HCMH

By: Nathan Bloechl — [email protected]

Humboldt, Iowa — On Wednesday, August 29th from 1-4 p.m. at the VFW Loan closet (which is located by the Senior Center at 607 1st Avenue South) HCMH will be hosting a Loan Closet Drive. Patients of Humboldt County and the surrounding area are in disparate need of good, clean and safe: canes, walkers of all kinds, shower benches and shower chairs, toilet frames, toilet raisers, commodes, shoe horns, reachers, dressing sticks, wheelchairs, lift chairs and bed rails.

HCMH encourages you to search through your homes and come on down to drop off any equipment you do not use anymore so we can restock the loan closet for individuals and patients who need these items.

Hosting a loan closet drive really helps the hospital be aware of what equipment we need, so HMCH has an updated inventory when patients do need such items.

The loan closet is again located by the Senior Center on the 600 block of 1st Avenue South.

If you have any questions about the equipment you are wanting to donate, you can contact the HCMH therapy department at 515-332-4200.
