Humboldt, Iowa — Sumner Avenue was packed full of residents of Humboldt County with one singular goal in mind: keep the Humota Theater operable.
The event titled Hot Dogs for Humota took place evening with all proceeds going towards the movie theater staying open.
Humota manager Sarah VanOrd says they’ve raised over $20,000 in funds for the theater and she spoke with KHBT regarding the next steps, what the support from the community means to her and the unity this has presented with her staff.
