Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat Football team will finally be able to hit a team in a different colored jersey this Friday.
The Wildcats will host the Lions of Clear Lake High School this Friday in a scrimmage, prior to opening their regular season schedule a week from then.
The freshman team will open festivities Friday afternoon at Mason Maach Field at 5:00 p.m., with the varsity team to follow.
Humboldt Athletic Director Greg Thomas informed KHBT that the admission price for the event is one bottle of Gatorade per person.
Friday will also be the community’s first look at new head coach Derrick Elman.
There will be no radio coverage of Friday’s scrimmage.
