Humboldt, Iowa — Following their 9-1 loss to the hands of Davenport Assumption yesterday, the Humboldt Wildcat softball team will still have the opportunity to end the state tournament on a winning note.
Humboldt will take part in the consolation championship game, Friday afternoon at Harlan Rogers Park against the Lady Dees of Albia High School.
Roland-Story will tango with Assumption in the 3A State Title game.
Humboldt and Albia met up earlier this season, with the Lady Dees earning a 9-0 win over Humboldt. The Wildcats however, did not throw All-State pitcher Ellie Jacobson opting to pitch freshman Bae Arnold.
Pre-game coverage will begin at 2:15 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 2:30.
