Dakota City, Iowa — The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will discuss the sale of the Oxbow Property today at their meeting. The supervisors and Conversation Director Todd Lee will be either accept or reject a bid of their choosing today.

At a prior meeting, Lee had stated that the Conservation Board wants to take the proceeds and put them into developing Sheldon Park, in which they’ve purchased an additional 26 acres.

Lee believes that could amount to an additional 32 campsites, onto the already established 50 they have.

Lee said that the board is hoping to reach, at minimum, a $150,000 sale price.

In total, the property includes 1.29 acres, with about 40 rentals per year.
