Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt City Council approved the purchase of video surveillance equipment for the new Humboldt Recreation Center, at their meeting on Monday.

The equipment was purchased from Baker Group, located out of Ankeny, Iowa.

The Avigilon Video System purchased coincides with the surveillance equipment used by the Humboldt Community School District, the council explained.

The purchase price is $50,130 — but that also includes a warranty on the purchase as well as training on the equipment.

The new recreation center is scheduled to open later this year.
