Humboldt, Iowa — Six in a row.

That’s the win streak now for Jason Thurm’s Humboldt Wildcat baseball team — and they’ve done in a multitude of ways.

Friday night, that was the come-from-behind version, as the Wildcats stormed back from six down to capture a 7-6 walk-off victory over Spencer.

Humboldt trailed the ball-game 6-0 prior the bats awakening in the late game.

Jacob Thurm doubled twice and drove in two runs in the victory, while Michael Brightly also had two hits.

Humboldt got their scoring started in the 4th with a run, then added three in 5th, two more in the 6th and the game winner in the 7th.

8th-grader Caden Matson was the starting pitcher, working the first four innings, scattering five hits without allowing an earned run.

Hudson Gargano earned the win out of relief, pitching three scorless.

Humboldt, with the win, improved to 16-13 on the season. They’ll close out their NCC schedule tonight (Monday) with a home date against Iowa Falls-Alden.

Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
