Humboldt, Iowa — Rainfall in the area Monday made Humboldt High School’s baseball and softball contests a wash-out.

The games were called early Monday afternoon after AD Greg Thomas deemed the conditions non-playable.

As a result, the Cats will now host St. Ed’s in softball this evening (Tuesday) with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tonight’s contest will be varsity only for softball.

The last time the two teams met it was a 2-1 win for Humboldt, with the Cats staving off a late rally.

The boys will play their make-up Thursday evening at home. First pitch for that contest is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Softball will host Bishop Garrigan that evening.

Both teams will be on the road at Clear Lake on Wednesday.
