Humboldt, Iowa — A Fort Dodge woman escaped injury after rolling over her newly purchased truck while attempting to navigate through a road closure last week.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year old Anna Anderson of Fort Doge was traveling north on the road closure near Colorado Avenue and County Road C49.

The county road is currently closed due to resurfacing of both traffic lanes with cement.

The report says that Anderson drove west on the road but had to stop because of paver equipment in the road. She turned around and dropped off the south side of the cement road. Her vehicle was unable to drive back up on the roadway because of the height of the road.

She ended up losing control and rolled onto the passenger’s side and came to a resat facing west.

As previously mentioned, Anderson’s vehicle was recently purchased and had yet to be registered.

Anderson was charged with Failure to Maintain Control in a Road Work Zone and Failure to Provide Financial Liability.
