Humboldt, Iowa — Humboldt County Engineer Ben Loots said it succintly: “If there’s a road closure sign or if it’s fenced off.. stay off the road.”
The notion comes on the heels of several residents driving and physically removing road closure signs during road work construction in the county.
There was an incident last week that resulted in a rollover and while there’s been no injuries as a result of the accidents, it could only be a matter of time.
Loots met with KHBT to discuss the impact that the road closure signs have.
