Humboldt Firefighter Charged With OWI

Humboldt, Iowa — A Humboldt firefighter is in hot water stemming from an alcohol related incident last Wednesday in Humboldt.

According to the criminal complaint filed with the Humboldt County Attorney’s Office, 42-year old Jeffrey Feaster of Dakota City was charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, his first offense.

Feaster was driving a Humboldt fire truck when the department responded to a call at about 1:00 a.m. last Wednesday.

According to the complaint, Feaster’s blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit after registering at .163. The legal limit being .08.

The complaint also stated that Feaster failed two field sobriety tests.

He made his initial appearance in court later that morning, June 6th, and will have his preliminary hearing in Humboldt County Court on June 26th.
