Humboldt, Iowa — The City of Humboldt will likely be seeing the return of a mobile unit from the North Central Iowa Regional Solid Waste Agency in Fort Dodge later this summer.

The plans were discussed at last night’s Humboldt City Council meeting.

Council-members met with Jessica Moffitt, a manager at the Hazardous Waste plant.

She informed the council that the target date for the mobile unit will be August 11th. The unit was in Humboldt last year, as well.

The event will take place in the parking lot just west of Humboldt City Hall, behind Bank Iowa.

Local volunteers are being sought out for help at the event, however no clear details — on that end of things — were announced on Monday.

The Hazardous Waste plant services all of Humboldt, Badger, Clare, Dakota City, Gilmore City, Hardy, Livermore, Pioneer, Rutland, Thor and Vincent.

The hours of operation, according to their web-page, are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
